Objetivo. Caracterizar y comparar los conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas nutricionales de estudiantes de estudiantes de Odontología, Psicología y Obstetricia de la Universidad Peruana Los Andes de Huancayo. Métodos.Tipo de investigación básico y diseño no experimental, transversal, descriptivo comparativo. La muestra, que fue no probabilística e intencionada, estuvo compuesta por 35 estudiantes de Odontología, 35 de Psicología y 35 de Obstetricia. Se aplicó el “cuestionario de conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas nutricionales de estudiantes universitarios”, el mismo que fue validado mediante el juicio de tres expertos en nutrición humana. Resultados. Se halló que el 66.6 % de los estudiantes consumía tres comidas al día, el 52 % tomaba desayuno interdiariamente y el 45 % diariamente; el 86,7 % consumía alimentos en los kioscos adyacentes al campus y el 48,6 % manifiesto desayunar en horario de clase. El conocimiento de la función de los lácteos fue de 96 %, de las carnes 76,3 %, de embutidos y hamburguesas 49,7 %, de las frutas 78,3 %, de los vegetales comestibles 91%, de bebidas gaseosas 38,7 % y golosinas 63,7 %. Conclusiones. De acuerdo con las competencias nutricionales necesarias en estudiantes de Ciencias de la Salud, existe deficiencias en los conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas nutricionales de la población estudiada; con diferencias porcentuales relevantes entre las tres carreras.
