Аналіз та систематизація нормативно-правової бази регулювання страхової діяльності дозволили дійти висновку, що державне регулювання у сфері страхової діяльності відбувається за допомогою відповідних методів, форм та інструментів, виконує специфічні функції та ґрунтується на певних принципах. Багатоаспектність страхових відносин, що виникають на страховому ринку, зумовила необхідність дослідження інституційного забезпечення, тобто визначення основних правил та принципів організації та ведення страхової діяльності за сучасних умов євроінтеграційного на-правлення. Визначено, що в Україні інституційне забезпечення розвитку державного регулювання страхової діяльності регулюється інституціями міжнародного рівня, урядовими структурами та нормами, стандартами, звітністю та іншими внутрішніми документами в масштабах окремих страхових компаній, як і в інших країнах світу. Запропоновано модель інституційного забезпечення розвитку державного регулювання страхової діяльності в Україні за рівнями економічних відносин. Встановлено, що існує певна невизначеність у чинному правовому полі регулювання страхової діяльності, оскільки відбулася масштабна зміна регулятора в цій сфері. Перехід України до мегарегулювання у сфері страхової діяльності та процес євроінтеграції України зумовлюють необхідність приведення вітчизняного законодавства у відповідність до вимог ЄС. Обґрунтовано, що процес розробки та реалізації державними органами нормативно-правових, організаційних і регулятивно-контролюючих заходів має бути спрямований на захист інтересів страховиків та споживачів страхових послуг, що сприятиме ефективному розвитку страхового ринку в рамках єдиної державної політики.
