Eriocheir sinensis is one of the most important freshwater aquaculture species in China. In 2018, the total production of E. sinensis reached 692,723 tonnes in China, with a value of 9,386,536 thousand dollars (http://www.fao.org/fishe ry/stati stics ,2018). As the development of E. sinensis aquaculture continues, the occurrence of diseases is increasing. Currently, the diseases affecting E. sinensis include tremor disease caused by Spiroplasma infection (Wang et al., 2004), vibriosis caused by Vibrio anguillarum (Sui et al., 2012) and V. parahaemolyticus (Wagley et al., 2009), and parasitosis caused by a halacarid mite (Normant et al., 2013).
