La adolescencia es una etapa de cambios biológicos, psicológicos y sociales. Estos cambios constituyen un posible espacio de vulnerabilidad para presentar trastornos de salud mental. Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar la relación entre depresión, ansiedad y estado nutricional en adolescentes. Participaron 61 sujetos pertenecientes a la ciudad de Temuco, Chile. Se utilizó el instrumento BDI-II para medir niveles de depresión y BAI para medir niveles de ansiedad, finalizando con el cálculo de IMC. Presentar un IMC >24,9 es indicador de sobrepeso y un IMC mayor a 29,9, de obesidad. Los resultados obtenidos mostraron que el 83,6% de los participantes presentó síntomas depresivos, en el cual, el 58,8% obtuvo un IMC> 24,9. El 88,5% presentó sintomatología ansiosa, donde el 59,3% alcanzó un IMC> 24,9. Se encontró una alta correlación entre depresión y ansiedad en contraste con las variables de salud mental e IMC donde no se encontraron correlaciones significativas.
