Zusammenfassung. Die Studie untersucht die Entwicklung der sozial-emotionalen Fähigkeiten im Kontext des mütterlichen Belastungserlebens sprachentwicklungsgestörter Kinder. Hierzu wurden n = 68 Kinder mit einer nach den Kriterien der ICD-10 diagnostizierten Sprachentwicklungsstörung einer Vergleichsgruppe von n = 52 Kindern ohne sprachliche Auffälligkeiten gegenübergestellt. Darüber hinaus wurde geprüft, ob ausgeprägte prosoziale Fähigkeiten der Kinder den Entwicklungsverlauf begünstigen können. Die Ergebnisse zeigen eine deutliche Verringerung des mütterlichen Belastungserlebens sowie der sozial-emotionalen Auffälligkeiten der sprachentwicklungsgestörten Kinder über die Zeit und deuten darüber hinaus darauf hin, dass die frühe Förderung prosozialer Fähigkeiten zu einer geringeren psychosozialen Belastungssituation einer Familie insgesamt beitragen kann.
