Objetivo: Analisar o conhecimento dos acadêmicos de enfermagem sobre Segurança do Paciente. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma pesquisa do tipo descritiva, com abordagem quantitativa, realizada com 51 discentes do curso de bacharelado em enfermagem de uma instituição de ensino superior de caráter privado, localizada na cidade de Teresina, Piauí. A coleta de dados foi realizada no mês de novembro de 2018 após a autorização pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa sob o número do parecer 3.011.689. Resultados e discussão: Verificou-se que a maioria dos alunos era do gênero feminino, com uma média de idade de 22 anos e do estado civil solteiro. Constatou-se ainda, que a maioria dos alunos envolvidos na pesquisa tiveram aula sobre segurança do paciente, conhecem o termo segurança do paciente e eventos adversos e buscam a promoção de segurança do paciente. No entanto, a minoria conhecia as seis metas que fazem parte de um cuidado seguro, assim como os dez passos de segurança do paciente e o Núcleo de Segurança do Paciente. Conclusão: Assim, acredita-se que este estudo munirá os profissionais enfermeiros com conhecimentos sobre segurança do paciente, competências e atitudes, a fim de aprimorar a qualidade e a segurança do cuidado em saúde no país e despertar o interesse de educadores e educandos para esta questão.
Objetivo: Investigar na literatura nacional e internacional, as evidências acerca das complicações decorrentes da infecção congênita pelo Zika Vírus. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura realizada nas bases de dados: Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE/PUBMED), Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS) e Web of Science (WoS), no mês de fevereiro de 2021. Para a definição dos critérios de inclusão foi selecionado o recorte temporal de 2016 a 2020, artigos originais, disponíveis na íntegra, gratuitos e online nas bases de dados selecionadas e publicados nos idiomas português, inglês e espanhol. Adotou-se como critérios de exclusão: artigos que estivessem em duplicidade nas bases de dados ou artigos em que não foi possível identificar relação com a temática por meio da leitura de títulos e resumos. Resultados e discussão: A partir das buscas nas bases de dados e aplicação dos critérios de elegibilidade, foram incluídos 09 estudos na revisão, que após a sua análise foi verificado que a infecção pelo Zika Vírus é considerada como um grave problema de saúde pública devido a associação com o aumento da incidência aparente de microcefalia em recém-nascidos de mães infectadas pelo vírus, bem como outras complicações associadas que pode afetar sobremaneira o indivíduo acometido, tais como: diminuição do volume cerebral, ventriculomegalia, hipoplasia cerebelar, lisencefalia com hidrocefalia e sequência de deformação da acinesia, além de problemas oculares e auditivo, contraturas articulares e disfagia. Conclusão: Nessa perspectiva, percebe-se a necessidade da formulação e implementação de medidas de controle ao vetor da doença, considerando cada cenário, de forma a prevenir a transmissão dessa doença, em especial, às gestantes, evitando assim, a transmissão congênita.
