This research investigated how local community-based and nonprofit organizations benefit from cooperation with community-based learning (CBL) initiativesThe rapid pace of change currently under way in America's colleges and universities has sparked a wide-ranging and often heated public debate about the social role and responsibilities of higher education in American society and how best to prepare students to meet the challenges ahead.
