Introducción: Se entiende humanización como la forma de cuidar y curar a los pacientes, basándose en la evidencia científica e incorporando la dimensión de la dignidad humana de la persona, estableciendo una atención en salud fundamentada en la confianza y la empatía, lo cual contribuye directamente en el bienestar y mejores resultados en salud de los pacientes. No obstante, en el ámbito hospitalario, a pesar del gran desarrollo científico y tecnológico, los usuarios todavía se sientan desprotegidos, mostrando insatisfacción en el trato recibido por los trabajadores de la salud. La presente revisión sistemática tuvo como objetivo analizar la producción científica referente a la percepción de pacientes sobre humanización de la atención hospitalaria en Colombia. Método: La búsqueda fue realizada en las bases de datos PubMed, Web of Science, Science Direct, Cuiden, LILACS, y Scielo. Los criterios de inclusión establecidos fueron: estudios en inglés, español y portugués; sin límite de tiempo de publicación; con pacientes hospitalizados como población de interés; estudios clasificados como artículos originales y disponibles online. Resultados: conformaron la muestra final, tres artículos. Se identificaron divergencias en las percepciones de los pacientes, pues, algunos vivenciaron acciones humanizadoras y otros, vivenciaron acciones deshumanizadoras en la atención hospitalaria. Conclusiones: A partir de las percepciones de los pacientes, se puede afirmar que una atención humanizada en el contexto hospitalario depende de la utilización equilibrada de diferentes acciones: acciones relacionales, empleo de tecnologías y conocimientos técnico-científicos de los trabajadores de la salud, relacionados como importantes para prácticas humanizadas.
