The Cd1-xMnxTe crystal is believed to be a good candidate to compete with Cd1-xMnxTe in the X-ray and γ-ray detector application. In this paper, Indium (In) doped Cd0.8Mn0.2Te (CdMnTe) ingots were grown by the modified Vertical Bridgman method. The as-grown crystals were characterized using Near-Infrared (NIR) transmission spectrum mapping of composition, X-ray double-crystal rocking curve measurement, I-V measurement and 241Am gamma rays radiation measurement. The Mn composition extracted from the NIR spectra at different axial and radial distances of the 30×40×2 mm3 CdMnTe wafers shown that the Mn concentration in the range of 0.19430.0008 to 0.2020.0025 mole fraction. The FWHM values of the X-ray rocking curves are of 40-80 arc sec, indicating a high crystalline perfection. The resistivity of the wafers is (2-3) ×1010Ω.cm. The CdMnTe planar detector irradiated by 241Am source shows the energy resolution of 8.5%.
In allusion to some methods on desalination of brackish water such as distillation, electrodialysis method and reverse osmosis, this paper introduced the mechanism, advantages and disadvantages of these methods. It is convinced that these methods have higher energy consumption. Temperature is much lower annually in alpine region of China, it provides a good condition for hydrate formation. It also provides the possibility for the desalinating process of brackish water using hydrate methods in alpine region. This paper proposed a new method of desalinating brackish water. Based on the model of van der Waals-Platteeuw, we calculated the phase equilibrium conditions of methane, ethane and propane hydrate in NaCl solution combined parameter equation which was used to calculate the Langmuir constant presented by DU Ya and GUO Tian-min and Pitzer equation used to water activity in the system of electrolyte solution. The result shows that it is possible to desalinate brackish water using environment cold quantity. It also shows that propane is more suitable for brackish water desalination among methane, ethane and propane. It is very significantly important to seek energy-saving and environment-friendly methods for the process of desalinating brackish water with energy shortage increasingly intensifying and with awareness of human being enthancing on energy conservation and emission reduction.
Solar energy is a kind of clean and green energy, its use can reduce the dual pressure of resources and environmental pollution. Firstly, this paper introduces groove, tower and dish type solar thermal power generation system. Then it introduces the components of dish-stirling system and the principle and features of stirling engine. The system has simple structure, reliable operation, high efficiency, low noise, low cost of power generation and good commercial prospects. But for some key parts of system, there are many problems that need to be solved. The main research of dish-stirling system is to optimize the key parts of system and reduce the system costs.
High-strength and micropore lightweight bauxite aggregate was fabricated by low grade raw bauxite powder, aluminium hydroxide powder and organic polymer (OP). OP was used as consolidator, binder and pore former and aluminium hydroxide was used as pore former. The influence of OP and aluminium hydroxide content on the property of the samples was studied. The phase composition and the microstructure of the sintered samples were characterized by XRD, SEM and the pore size distribution was measured by mercury porosimety. The results demonstrate that the bulk density of the samples decreases linearly and the apparent porosity of the samples increases gradually with the addition of OP. The lowest density reached 1.13g/cm3when adding 35% OP and 10% Al(OH)3. The average pore size is around 5μm, and increases with the addition of OP increased. The XRD showed the main phase of the sample is mullite and some little amount of corundum.
