La innovación es una tarea fundamental por desarrollar en múltiples planos de la realidad para asegurar el bienestar en diversos contextos sociales. Particularmente, esto implica una innovación multidimensional al no sólo centrarse en el surgimiento y aplicación de nuevos conocimientos en el ámbito tecnológico, sino en diversas áreas tal como lo demuestran los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) de la Organización de Naciones Unidas. Llevarlo a cabo exige la participación de una multiplicidad de actores, provenientes de una concepción sistémica de la realidad donde distintos grupos coexisten y deben colaborar entre sí para garantizar un flujo de comunicación. Para lograrlo, los modelos de triple (3H) o cuádruple hélice (4H) se han convertido en una herramienta clave, al involucrar a universidad, gobierno, industria y sociedad civil en redes de colaboración conjunta. La estructura reticular permite una alineación entre actores tanto internos a cada organización como la vinculación con agentes externos. Por lo tanto, el presente trabajo se focaliza en analizar el rol de una universidad en la construcción de vínculos intra e interorganizacionales, a través de un modelo 4H para el cumplimiento de los ODS en el contexto salvadoreño. Así pues, el estudio aborda el papel de la universidad a partir de la evolución de las redes interorganizacionales, de 2015 a 2021. A partir de los resultados, ha sido posible comprender el rol diferenciado de las estructuras intra organizacionales universitarias para el cumplimiento de objetivos orientados a fomentar la innovación en el ecosistema salvadoreño.
