Este artigo apresenta uma revisão sistemática de literatura sobre os processos de formação continuada de docentes que atuam na Educação Básica. O objetivo atenua-se em articular e fundamentar os alicerces teóricos dispostos na literatura frente às contribuições didático-pedagógicas oportunizadas pela formação continuada nas etapas da Educação Básica. Ao abrir o contexto, justifica-se a crise pandêmica como um ‘despertar’ da formação continuada com ênfase nas tecnologias digitais. Identificou-se na pandemia, uma romantização do ensino presencial e, é compreensível tal modalidade como potencializadora de muitas atividades de ensino e aprendizagem, entretanto, muitas das carências evidenciadas na pandemia são reflexos de anos de desvalorização docente que ocorriam inclusive no ensino presencial. Frente a isso, faz-se necessário fomentar a atualização dos docentes em cursos de capacitação, eventos, palestras, seminários, lives, dentre outros meios de ir além da formação/atuação. Adentrando aos resultados, esta pesquisa desperta que a gestão escolar deve buscar subsídios de capacitação para os professores, a Rede Pública de ensino deve fomentar recursos de capacitação e atualização docentes como incentivo à aprimorar seus docentes, inovando em conhecimento, pois, o valor desta articulação resultará em melhorias no processo de ensino e aprendizagem dos educandos da Educação Básica.
