Introdução: O acolhimento é parte das diretrizes da Política Nacional de Humanização e objetiva pôr em prática os princípios do Sistema Único de Saúde: universalização, equidade e integralidade. Objetivo: Este relato de experiência tem como objetivo refletir, de forma sistematizada, sobre as vivências e práticas profissionais oportunizadas pela Residência Integrada em Saúde, com a temática do acolhimento em um serviço especializado no atendimento de pessoas vivendo com vírus da imunodeficiência humana/aids. Consiste em analisar, por meio da sistematização de experiências, as ações da equipe multiprofissional, composta de assistentes sociais, psicólogas, nutricionistas, enfermeiras e farmacêuticas, a fim de qualificar práticas e agregar conhecimento que possa colaborar com a reorganização desse serviço, na perspectiva de garantir e qualificar o acesso à saúde. Métodos: Trata-se de uma pesquisa participante, apoiada na sistematização de experiências vivenciadas pela assistente social pesquisadora. O material de análise foi o diário de campo, com registros das experiências relacionadas à temática ao longo do período da residência, ainda em andamento. Resultados: A partir de reuniões de equipe multiprofissional foram construídos microprojetos que pudessem gerar impacto no acolhimento, resultados ainda provisórios. O primeiro projeto foi nomeado Os 30 anos do SUS e buscou estimular a compreensão dos/as trabalhadores/as enquanto protagonistas do processo de construção. Os participantes elencaram como principais demandas relacionadas ao acolhimento e aos processos de trabalho: a reunião de equipe, ambiência da recepção e disseminação dos fluxos. Foram realizados cinco encontros, tendo o acolhimento como centralidade dos debates, conjuntamente com a reflexão sobre o processo de trabalho. Conclusão: Entre as principais propostas deste trabalho, observou-se que a mudança da prática profissional gerou desacomodação de maneira positiva, estimulou a participação e o engajamento na busca por melhorias que remetem ao bem-estar da coletividade, além de contribuir para uma prática mais adequada às necessidades de pessoas com vírus da imunodeficiência humana/aids.
