La investigación sobre embarazo precoz y educación en el uso de métodos anticonceptivos en adolescentes surge ante el carente o nulo conocimiento que poseen los adolescentes en salud sexual y reproductiva, cuyos aspectos son: enfermedades transmisión sexual, métodos anticonceptivos, planificación familiar, orientación sexual, entre otros aspectos, incluyendo los factores emocionales. Es por ésta problemática y la necesidad de promover para la salud y bienestar de los adolescentes con intención de colaborar a que vivan una vida digna y estable hemos desarrollado este artículo, para acrecentar la importancia de enseñar en SSR, tomar medidas para prevenir las ETS, planificación familiar y métodos anticonceptivos con intención de que disminuya la cantidad de embarazos precoces y que la información que se les facilite sea de impacto en los adolescentes. El objetivo de este estudio fue: Educar a los adolescentes en torno a la prevención de embarazo precoz. Es un estudio descriptivo de corte transversal, realizado durante el semestre mayo-septiembre de 2020, con una muestra de 30 personas comprendidas entre 15 y 20 años de edad, todos dieron el consentimiento informado. Como resultado importante se logró identificar una minoría con escaso conocimiento en SSR. Se concluyó que es necesario que se implementen medidas para que los adolescentes tengan más facilidad al acceder a información sobre SSR y métodos de prevención para relaciones sexuales seguras. El hecho de que no lo consideren correcto a la edad de ellos, no significa que no exista curiosidad y lo puedan intentar sin prevenirse para las consecuencias.
La sociedad demanda profesionales preparados, capacitados, poseedores de valores; además de una adecuada salud mental. El Instituto Superior Universitario Portoviejo, propuso un proyecto de investigación de tema: Alternativas de desafíos contra el síndrome Burnout. Una propuesta de mejoramiento para la salud mental y emocional dirigida a los profesionales de diversos ámbitos, con un alcance de dos años, que se cumplen en 2022. La propuesta es innovadora, pertinente, actual y contextualizada, que responde a las necesidades de la provincia y del cantón. El objetivo fue: Diseñar acciones resilientes como forma de prevención ante la aparición del síndrome de burnout en los docentes de colegios fiscales. Se aplicó una metodología para un estudio descriptivo, prospectivo y transversal en 25 docentes; los que se hallaron sensiblemente afectados: agotamiento físico y mental, falta de motivación absoluta, sensibilidad a la crítica, pérdida de energía, descenso en la productividad laboral y estrés. En la teoría hubo divergencia de las opiniones, considerándose el síndrome de burnout como una patología mental crónica y/o aguda, la investigación permitió valorarla como aguda, en tanto se intervenga en pos de la salud mental. Finalmente el objetivo fue cumplido, al proyectar acciones en forma de sistema encaminado a la prevención del síndrome de burnout en los docentes. Como conclusión, se arribó al diseño de acciones resilientes como forma de prevención ante la aparición del síndrome de burnout en los docentes de colegios fiscales.
A nivel internacional la hipertensión arterial es una problemática acuciante y en Ecuador también, por tal razón el artículo se gesta ante el carente control de la hipertensión arterial en usuarios y la necesidad del logro de estilos de vida saludables que sean de impacto en las personas hipertensas y en la comunidad, en sentido general. El estudio es parte del proyecto de investigación: “Zona protegida, Parques La Rotonda y Las Vegas de Portoviejo”, como iniciativa del Instituto Superior Tecnológico “Portoviejo”. El objetivo fue: Concientizar a las personas hipertensas en el control de la presión arterial en función del estilo de vida saludable. Es un estudio descriptivo de corte transversal, realizado durante el semestre junio-diciembre de 2019, con una muestra de 500 personas comprendidas entre 30 y 80 años de edad, todos dieron el consentimiento informado. Como resultado importante se logró identificar los principales factores por los cuales los usuarios padecen de hipertensión arterial y el porqué de estilos de vida que van en detrimento de la salud integral, pero con énfasis en la tensión arterial. Se concluyó que la hipertensión arterial es multicausal, ha sido estudiada por diferentes especialistas del área médica y otras apelándose a que su control radica en los buenos hábitos relacionados con la alimentación, la nutrición, el ejercicio físico, la reducción del estrés y la ansiedad; propendiendo a una comunidad poseedora de una vida saludable.
