Esta coletânea "Saúde Integral: da teoria à prática, organizada em três volumes, apresenta os resultados das pesquisas realizadas por acadêmicos e professores dos cursos de Enfermagem, Odontologia e Medicina da Faculdade Presidente Antônio Carlos -ITPAC Porto.É o resultado do semestre letivo 2020/2, demonstrando o compromisso da instituição com a pesquisa, ensino e extensão no processo de formação dos profissionais da área da Saúde, mesmo em um período marcado por fortes mudanças no processo educacional, como o vivenciado a partir da necessidade do afastamento social em virtude da pandemia com a Covid-19.Desse modo, os volumes 1 e 2 apresentam artigos dos mais variados temas, produzidos nos cursos de Enfermagem e Medicina, enquanto o volume 3 é específico para as produções da Odontologia. Em toda a coletânea os temas se integram de maneira interdisciplinar, favorecendo a reflexão sobre questões importantíssimas na área da Saúde e apresentando muitas informações e conhecimento sobre a realidade de perfis epidemiológicos do município.O propósito desta coletânea é extrapolar a ideia da simples publicação, almeja disseminar conhecimentos que possam suscitar reflexões motivadoras para a elaboração de ações e políticas, nos setores público e privado, que possam resultar na melhoria da qualidade dos serviços prestados na área da Saúde e, consequentemente, na qualidade de vida das pessoas. Também incentivar o gosto pela pesquisa nos diversos cursos oferecidos pela FAPAC ITPAC Porto.Nossos agradecimentos a todos os envolvidos no processo de produção e elaboração dos capítulos aqui apresentados.
Introdução: Leishmaniose Visceral (LV) é uma zooantroponose endêmica no país. O Vírus da Imunodeficiência Humana (HIV), causa imunodepressão que predispõe à coinfecção LV-HIV. O objetivo deste estudo é relatar um caso de recidiva de LV acometendo apenas cadeia de gânglios linfáticos difusamente, acompanhado pelo Serviço de Infectologia do Hospital Geral de Palmas. Desenvolvimento: Paciente JHA 34 anos, natural de Bacabal-MA, com diagnóstico anterior em 2013 de HIV e história de LV tratada resolutivamente há 5 meses com Anfotericina B Lipossomal e manutenção com profilaxia secundária. O paciente iniciou acompanhamento há 3 anos junto a Infectologia sendo diagnosticado com LV de caráter ganglionar difuso por meio de biópsia mesentérica. Retornou em fevereiro de 2022 com quadro de adenomegalia difusa (submandibular, cervical, axilar, inguinal), febre moderada, inapetência e perda ponderal a esclarecer. Laboratorialmente paciente apresentava pancitopenia. A tomografia de pelve confirmou o aumento dos gânglios. Com tal evidência, o mesmo foi requerido a internação hospitalar. Durante esse tempo o paciente fez uso de Anfotericina B Lipossomal durante 10 dias e recebeu alta da enfermaria, assintomático com regressão linfonodal e retorno em 15 dias ambulatorialmente para manutenção com profilaxia secundária até CD4 > 350. Considerações Finais: Tal caso, nos confirma que o agente da doença pode permanecer em órgãos do sistema monocítico fagocitário, sendo capaz de permanecer por longo período no indivíduo infectado. Pode ocorrer, devido a diversos fatores que afetam a resistência do hospedeiro, a reativação da doença. Neste caso, o paciente recebeu alta da profilaxia com CD4 > 200 e mesmo assim houve recidiva. Isso ilustra um caso atípico de LV, sem hepatoesplenomegalia e gamaglobulinemia. E reitera a importância do seguimento da profilaxia secundária em pacientes HIV por maior período.
