RESUMOOs efeitos da calagem e da gessagem são amplamente conhecidos na literatura, mas a sua magnitude em relação aos efeitos no perfil do solo é dependente do tempo após a aplicação desses insumos. Dessa maneira, o objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar em longo prazo a aplicação conjunta de gesso e calcário nos atributos químicos de um solo em rotação de culturas, no sistema de plantio direto. O experimento foi conduzido em uma propriedade rural no município de Jaguariaíva, PR, em um Latossolo Vermelho-Amarelo distrófico típico, de textura areia franca, durante os anos de 2002 a 2008. O experimento foi conduzido em blocos ao acaso sob esquema fatorial com 10 tratamentos, sendo cinco doses de gesso agrícola (0; 1,5; 3,0; 6,0; e 12,0 Mg ha -1 ) e duas doses de calcário (0 e 3,42 Mg ha -1 ), com três repetições. In Brazil, fire prior to sugar cane harvesting has to be phased out by 2017, but it has already been phased out in up to 85-90% of the cropped area. The new system is called green cane and has entirely changed weed management practices. The main goal of this study was to evaluate the effects of the straw presence as well as humic acid (HA), formulation, soil type, and aging on the sorption and leaching of (14)C-tebuthiuron and hexazinone. Both herbicides presented low sorption for all treatments (Kd,app ≤ 3.25 L kg(-1)), but it was higher for tebuthiuron in the clayer soil (LVd). Straw and aging only slightly enhanced sorption. The HA effects were not clear. Sorption was mostly affected by herbicide and soil type. Straw may promote physical trapping (∼40% of applied amount), which cannot be accessed by "batch" sorption (∼15% of the applied amount is sorbed), attenuating leaching of highly mobile herbicides in green-cane systems. To properly assess leaching through straw residues under laboratory condition, rainfall distribution is very important.

Teve-se por objetivo, neste trabalho, avaliar as disponibilidades sazonal e espacial da biomassa residual da colheita das principais culturas de grãos, na região dos Campos Gerais, PR, estimar o potencial teórico de produção de energia elétrica a partir desses resíduos, bem como identificar os municípios da região com maior potencial para instalação de termelétricas movidas a biomassa. This study aimed to evaluate the seasonal and spatial availability of harvesting residual biomass of the main grain crops in the region of Campos Gerais -PR, estimate the theoretical potential to electricity production from these residues, as well as identify cities in the region with greater potential for installation of biomass-fueled thermoelectric .
