O objetivo geral do presente estudo é relatar a experiência vivenciada no evento do dia das crianças em uma prática socioeducativa na pandemia da COVID-19. O evento do dia das crianças foi proposto com a iniciativa de alertar os cuidados básicos em saúde, que poderiam ser adotados no cotidiano para a minimização da disseminação do novo coronavírus. A ferramenta didática de ensino utilizada para alertar a população foi o uso de banners ilustrativos e didáticos, que foram elaborados pelos educandos do projeto social do Centro de Responsabilidades Socioambiental. O conteúdo presente nos banners visava esclarecer e enfatizar os cuidados recomendados pelas Instituições de Saúde, dentre eles: “Como higienizar as mãos corretamente”; “Porque utilizar o álcool em 70% para higienizar as mãos” e “Produção de eco-sabões: medidas sustentáveis para a mitigação dos impactos ambientais”. Essa estratégia conscientizou a população e faz com que na elaboração dos banners os educandos se tornem sujeito crítico e que busque pelo saber no seu processo de ensino-aprendizagem. Por fim, a estratégia foi uma experiência construtiva, pode-se observar o envolvimento dos alunos, crianças e dos responsáveis nas atividades propostas, além de promover uma aprendizagem lúdica e dinâmica na sala de aula.
