O presente estudo teve como objetivo integrar dados hidrogeológicos, estruturais e hidrogeoquímicos no âmbito do Sistema Aquífero Serra Geral (SASG) na Bacia Hidrográfica do Rio Ijuí, Noroeste do Rio Grande do Sul, a fim de reconhecer características que permitam aprimorar o entendimento sobre os recursos hídricos subterrâneos da região. A metodologia utilizada na caracterização estrutural compreendeu a compilação de dados hidrogeológicos de poços tubulares, mapeamento de lineamentos tectônicos através de imagens de satélite, confecção de mapas temáticos e análises estatísticas. Já para a caracterização hidrogeoquímica, dados laboratoriais foram tratados estatisticamente através de análise fatorial, permitindo o agrupamento de amostras em três fácies: Fácies Na, Fácies CaMg e Fácies Águas Mistas. Os resultados demonstram que as estruturas geológicas de médio porte (2-4 km) são predominantes na área, com direções preferenciais NE-E e N-NE. Há correlação positiva entre os poços com maiores vazões e as zonas de alta densidade de lineamentos. Quanto à hidrogeoquímica, o estudo indica que as águas subterrâneas possuem diferentes proveniências, sendo a Fácies CaMg relacionada à recarga meteórica e a Fácies Na à mistura com águas do Sistema Aquífero Guarani, que ascendem através de falhas e fraturas das rochas vulcânicas. Esse entendimento foi corroborado pela identificação de correlação positiva entre os poços da Fácies Na e as zonas de alta densidade de lineamentos.
