AbstractThis work shows the advances of a qualitative research, having as a central axis the use of history of science in the teaching of DNA structure and that is currently in development in the Master in Science Education of the Fundación Universidad Autónoma de Colombia. The target population of study is students of secondary education colleges El Cortijo-Vianey IED and El Porvenir IED, linked to public sector capital district. The main objective of this work is to provide elements that facilitate the teaching of DNA structure through a historical approach, showing the humanity of science and its impact, with the intention of bringing the classroom didactic transposition process that promotes a more humane versatile, flexible science, that against of prioritize concepts analysis, generates reflection spaces in favor of construction of critical thinking about one of the scientists episodes generated that marked the history of science and biology.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
