Este estudo apresenta uma análise da qualidade da água de poços tubulares de uma região rural do município de Novo Hamburgo – RS, que não é abastecida pelo sistema municipal, sendo os poços fontes únicas de abastecimento local. Para esta pesquisa foi aplicado o mapeamento por zona e utilizado o processo de territorialização considerando 3 áreas distintas denominadas A, B e C. Em cada área foram selecionados três poços e as coletas realizadas nos meses de maio e junho de 2019 e janeiro e fevereiro de 2020. Os parâmetros analisados foram: pH, Cloro livre, cor aparente, turbidez, dureza, Ferro, sólidos dissolvidos totais, Bário, Cádmio, Chumbo, Cobre, Cromo Fluoreto, Mercúrio, Níquel, Nitrato, Nitritos e Coliformes totais e Escherichia Coli (E. coli). As análises foram realizadas na Central Analítica da Universidade Feevale-RS e resultados comparados com a Portaria de Consolidação nº 5, do Ministério da Saúde (2017). Achados microbiológicos com presença de coliformes totais e Escherichia coli nas três áreas analisadas e nas análises físico-químicas foi constatada presença de cádmio, chumbo, ferro, níquel, nitrato e turbidez. Diante desses resultados concluímos que nenhuma das áreas analisada teve a água dentro dos limites de potabilidade estabelecidos na portaria. Diante dos resultados, é urgente a necessidade de monitoramento contínuo da água consumida nesta localidade e bem como medidas de controle sanitário, pelos dos órgãos competentes
