So many idiomatic, that is to say more or less untranslatable, expressions, words, sentences. They are only to be read, to be deciphered, at the bottom of the infinite familiarity, at the bottom of the familial abyss of generations, as formidable as sexual difference. Itself. But remain apparently untranslatable, in their letter, that is to say in their body.
Although within the binary oppositions art is traditionally situated on the side of femininity, the concept of modern artist fits particularly to masculine subject. As such, it excludes the existence of the other -a woman artist. Similarly, the process of becoming an artist, which is institutionally framed by studying in art schools, does not offer women the possibility to become an artist without denying crucial aspects of their singular and woman experiences. The work interprets some particular events which accompanied a dissertation project called "Feminist action research -How to study to become a woman artist?" realised at the Faculty of Fine Arts FaVU VUT in 2010. Reading of those events draws on the post-Lacanian feminist authors and their interpretation of the work by Melanie Klein. It shows that it is the access and relationship to negativity, which structures the experience of art students and which thus, simultaneously, triggers and reproduces sexual difference. Katedra sociologie FSS MU, 3/2012. S. 51-64.
