O Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisa Sexualidade, Educação e Cultura (GEPESEC) está alocado na Faculdade de Ciências da UNESP/Bauru, sendo vinculado ao Laboratório de Ensino e Pesquisa em Educação Sexual (LASEX) junto ao Departamento de Psicologia. O grupo completou 21 anos em 2022; possui cinco temas principais de pesquisa: 1. Intervenção em Educação Sexual; 2. Repressão Sexual e Cultura; 3. Sexualidade Humana e Desenvolvimento; 4. Sexualidade, Educação Especial e Inclusiva e 5. Aspectos Psicossociais da Sexualidade. Caracteriza-se pela realização de práticas de ensino ligadas aos cursos de Graduação em Psicologia e de duas Pós-graduações – “Psicologia do Desenvolvimento e Aprendizagem” e “Educação Escolar”, com a divulgação de práticas e conhecimentos acadêmicos por meio de eventos regionais e internacionais, cursos de formação continuada e publicações. A produção coletiva tem se especializado na análise de mídias e isso reflete em uma considerável produção. Todos esses elementos corroboram a postura do GEPESEC em construir práticas acadêmicas de ensino, pesquisa e extensão em prol de uma universidade mais democrática e inclusiva.
Diante da pandemia do COVID-19, muitos problemas na saúde mental e nos relacionamentos afetivos e sexuais surgiram em decorrência das ações para a prevenção e o controle da doença. A chamada “quarentena” impôs às pessoas uma vida de isolamento social com restrições de contatos com amigos, parentes e vínculos amorosos estáveis ou não. O público homossexual ainda costuma esconder a expressão de seus desejos e vínculos eróticos em uma sociedade preconceituosa, utilizando-se de mídias sociais como alternativas para a busca de parceiros e encontros. Este estudo teve por objetivo investigar a opinião de 72 pessoas homossexuais ou bissexuais sobre o uso de mídias digitais para relacionamentos afetivos e sexuais antes e durante o período de isolamento, devido a prevenção ao contágio do COVID-19, que responderam a um questionário on line, para análise quantitativa. Os resultados mostram que a maioria dos/as entrevistados/as afirmou que os relacionamentos antes da pandemia mantiveram-se e houve um aumento da utilização das mídias sociais com seus parceiros/as com fins sexuais. Antes da pandemia o motivo principal do uso de aplicativos de relacionamentos era o de “marcar encontros”, mudando em tal período para a função de “ter com quem falar” ou deixaram de ser usados. Conclui-se que o público LGBTQ+ vivencia maior vulnerabilidade sexual e afetiva no período de isolamento social e profissionais da área da saúde mental devem oferecer mais atenção para essa população.

Educação Sexual nas escolas é lei em Portugal, mas as especificidades dos (as) alunos (as) com deficiências são, poucas vezes, consideradas nas propostas educativas. Este estudo qualitativo descritivo teve por objetivo investigar as opiniões, sentimentos e ações sobre a Educação Sexual para alunos (as) com deficiência, de dez professores portugueses, sendo 7 mulheres e 3 homens, atuantes do 3º ciclo escolar (7º ao 9º ano de escolaridade). Os (as) professores (as) participaram de uma entrevista, gravada e transcrita na íntegra, para análise de conteúdo, evidenciando as dificuldades na formação, a partir das categorias que desvelam que os (as) professores (as): (a) não compreendem a Educação Sexual nas suas salas de aula como parte de um trabalho pedagógico de toda a escola; (b) têm receio dos familiares dos (as) alunos (as) e desconhecem as condições e recursos necessários às especificidades de seus (as) alunos (as) com deficiências e (c) reconhecem a necessidade de cursos na formação inicial e continuada sobre sexualidade, principalmente para alunos (as) com deficiência. Conclui-se que é fundamental garantir a formação docente na área da sexualidade e educação para o público da educação especial, para garantir a eficácia da lei em Educação Sexual nas escolas inclusivas de Portugal.
