Los estudiantes universitarios están expuestos a presentar diferentes cambios en su etapa educativa donde las obligaciones, responsabilidades y exigencias son mayores, lo que afecta la calidad de sueño o por lo contrario se genera una procrastinación dejando de lado las actividades académicas. El objetivo del estudio consistió en determinar la relación entre la calidad de sueño y procrastinación académica en estudiantes universitarios. A través, de un enfoque cuantitativo, alcance correlacional, de diseño no experimental y de corte transversal. La muestra fue de 141 estudiantes universitarios (36 hombres y 105 mujeres), con media de edad de 21.3 seleccionados mediante un muestreo no probabilístico, a quienes se aplicó el Índice de calidad de sueño de Pittsburgh (PSQI) y la Escala de Procrastinación Académica (EPA). En los resultados se encontró que los estudiantes presentan mala calidad de sueño; respecto a los niveles de procrastinación académica se identificó un nivel alto tanto en la autorregulación académica y postergación de actividades. Se determinó que la calidad de sueño y la dimensión postergación de actividades se relacionan estadísticamente significativa (Rho=0.167, p<0.05) el cual indica que a peor calidad de sueño mayor es la postergación de actividades.
