Este estudio es resultado de una investigación adelantada en una maestría de profundización. Versa sobrela relación del desarrollo de la habilidad escrita en inglés y la implementación de la plataforma LMS Schoology como herramienta para tal fin en un grupo de estudiantes de básica primaria en una institución privada en la ciudad de Tunja, Colombia. Los datos se recogieron a través de los trabajos presentados por los estudiantes, de un cuestionario y de un grupo focal, todo enmarcado dentro de un paradigma de investigación mixto. Al finalizar, se evidencia la manera como la plataforma contribuyó con el desarrollo de la habilidad escritural, con la integración de factores como la motivación, la propuesta de actividades llamativas y la ejecución de tareas tanto en el salón de clases como fuera de este. Igualmente, los estudiantes mostraron aceptación del sistema y su disposición para el aprendizaje mejoró.
Para desarrollar este artículo, se realizó una revisión documental de la elaboración y producción de trabajos de investigación relacionados con el estudio de la Estimulación Neurolingüística y su influencia durante el Aprendizaje de una Segunda Lengua para conocer, a través de un estudio bibliométrico, las principales características de 14 publicaciones registradas en la base de datos Scopus y como parte de la investigación doctoral de la autora. Los resultados obtenidos de esta base de datos se organizaron en tablas y figuras, categorizando la información por variables como Año de Publicación, País de Origen y Área de Conocimiento, lo que permitió identificar, a través del análisis cualitativo, la posición de diferentes autores con respecto al tema propuesto. Los principales hallazgos de esta investigación fueron que el Reino Unido y los Estados Unidos lideran la lista de publicaciones con 4 documentos cada uno. Asimismo, el área de conocimiento que hizo la mayor contribución a la construcción de material bibliográfico relacionado con el estudio de variables fue la psicología con 6 documentos publicados.
