O artigo analisa os níveis de depressão e ansiedade dos universitários de Psicologia durante a pandemia por COVID-19. Estudo transversal, exploratório e descritivo que avaliou uma população de 530 alunos no município de Sobral-CE. Os dados foram coletados entre fevereiro e março de 2021. O primeiro foi um questionário que avaliou o perfil sociodemográfico da população. Para avaliação dos níveis de ansiedade e depressão, utilizou-se os questionários Generalized Anxiety Disorder Questionnaire (GAD-7) e Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9). A prevalência de estudantes universitários com sintomas ansiosos foi de 38 %, enquanto que 39 % apresentaram sintomas de depressão. Fatores como nervosismo, ansiedade, irritação, desânimo, desalento e falta de esperança foram comportamentos predominantes quando avaliados os instrumentos. Percebe-se aumento significativo de ansiedade, depressão e estresse no público universitário no período pandêmico. Este estudo demonstra a ascendência da ocorrência de comportamentos ansiosos e depressivos entre os estudantes de Psicologia durante a pandemia da COVID-19.
