We have identified the yeast and human homologs of the SKP1 gene as a suppressor of cdc4 mutants and as a cyclin F-binding protein. Skp1p indirectly binds cyclin A/Cdk2 through Skp2p, and directly binds Skp2p, cyclin F, and Cdc4p through a novel structural motif called the F-box. SKP1 is required for ubiquitin-mediated proteolysis of Cin2p, Clb5p, and the Cdk inhibitor Sic1p, and provides a link between these molecules and the proteolysis machinery. A large number of proteins contain the F-box motif and are thereby implicated in the ubiquitin pathway. Different skp1 mutants arrest cells in either G1 or G2, suggesting a connection between regulation of proteolysis in different stages of the cycle.
A dense neutrino medium can support flavor oscillation waves which are coherent among different momentum modes of the neutrinos. The dispersion relation (DR) branches of such a wave with complex frequencies and/or wave numbers can lead to the exponential growth of the wave amplitude which in turn will engender a collective flavor transformation in the neutrino medium. In this work we propose that the complex DR branches of the neutrino oscillation wave should be bound by the critical points of the DR. We demonstrate how this theory can be applied to the neutrino medium with an (approximate) axial symmetry about the propagation direction of the neutrino oscillation wave. We also show how the flavor instabilities in this medium can be identified by tracing the critical points of the DR as the electron lepton number distribution of the neutrino medium is changed continuously.
CLET is efficacious in patients with LSCD, and no difference both in success rate and visual acuity outcome between autograft and allograft was found. Overall safety profile was good, with most side effects being transient and amenable to subsequent treatments. The long-term results of autograft and allograft will inform future treatment algorithms and techniques with random control trials and better-designed analysis.
