Paraules clau rondalla; ATU 510A; ATU 480; Adelaida Ferré; combinació AbstractThe present article studies three versions of international type 510A, corresponding to the Catalan folktale Ventafocs i les germanastres (Cinderella). All three versions share the common characteristic of being preceded by type ATU 480 -The kind and the unkind girls. The article examines the frequency of this combination in the Catalan linguistic area and other nearby language areas such as Spanish, Portuguese and French. The three versions collected by Adelaida Ferré and Gomis (Barcelona 1881 -Barcelona 1955) in three Catalan towns are analysed to determine their characteristics. As a result they are classified as types ATU 480 and 510A, thus expanding the corpus of Catalan stories that combine both these types from eighteen to twenty-one stories.
Paraules clau exemple, rondalla, ATU, quasi-gènere, moralitatAbstract This study aims to highlight the existence of thirty-two tales from the personal sources of Rossend Serra i Pagès at the Historical Archive of the City of Barcelona. The texts are very short unpublished manuscripts and were collected in various towns and villages throughout Catalonia over an unknown period by four folklore students at the School for Women Teachers and Other Careers for Women: Adelaida Ferré, Mercè Ventosa, Manela Fina and Glòria Pla.The moral example is not common in classifications of oral narrative genres of Catalan culture, at least not under that name. According to Josep M. Pujol, this is an exemplary form of tale and can be regarded as a quasi genre situated halfway between the realistic, magic and numinous modes. The transcription and critical analysis of the texts will aim to shed more light on the definition of this short form of oral narrative.
