Autism, given the relevance and dimensions of their behaviors, establishes the significant need for attention and responsibilities on the part of family members of the autistic person, mobilizing them to adjust to a series of new tasks. This article deals, through a literature review, of the consequences and impacts of autism in the family and aimed to verify how families, when receiving a diagnosis of autism, are affected and are able to adapt over the life cycle of the family. kid.
