Durch die zunehmende Intellektualisierung des Rechtspopulismus, die mit einem gesteigerten wissenschaftlichen wie auch publizistischen Interesse an der Bewegung der Neuen Rechten einhergeht, wächst auch das Bewusstsein für neue Aktionsformen, die im Kulturbereich angesiedelt sind. In der Soziologie sind die Spezifika der Inanspruchnahmen der Kunst von rechts bisher jedoch weitestgehend außer Acht gelassen worden, wenngleich durchaus Konsens darüber besteht, dass für die Bewegung Literatur von besonderer Bedeutung zu sein scheint. Der vorliegende Artikel nimmt dies zum Ausgangspunkt und zeigt auf, an welchen Stellen eine soziologische Analyse neurechter Literaturkritik ansetzen könnte. Hierbei wird einerseits die Bewegung der Neuen Rechten sowie deren Literaturpolitik vorgestellt, andererseits die Institution der Literaturkritik aus soziologischer Perspektive theoretisiert. Dabei wird das Augenmerk auf zwei zentrale Funktionen, die Wertung und die Deutung von Literatur, gelegt. Illustriert wird dies beispielhaft anhand von Ausschnitten aus der YouTube-Literatursendung Aufgeblättert. Zugeschlagen – Mit Rechten lesen.
