Los menores que migran solos deben realizar una compleja transición a la vida independiente con una escasa red de apoyo, bajos niveles educativos y de cualificación laboral, ubicándoles en una posición de especial vulnerabilidad frente a la exclusión social. Ante esta situación, el Trabajo Social debe orientarse hacia intervenciones emancipadoras, considerándose crucial el acceso a una educación equitativa y de calidad. Este estudio se propone analizar el impacto de la implementación con este colectivo de menores de una estrategia educativa denominada Tiempo Extendido de Aprendizaje, centrándonos en la adquisición del aprendizaje instrumental, en el grado de ocupabilidad y en la inclusión social del colectivo. Se ha utilizado el método biográfico y una metodología comunicativa con un enfoque marcadamente cualitativo. La muestra se compone de personal investigador, responsables de centros y de programas, así como de jóvenes extutelados. Los resultados muestran diversas mejoras en el rendimiento académico, un incremento del bienestar e interacciones más respetuosas y solidarias. Además, se detectan mejoras a nivel profesional al contribuir a recuperar su potencial transformador. Por tanto, estas intervenciones basadas en el aprendizaje dialógico se convierten en una potente herramienta para la superación de las situaciones de desventaja socioeducativa vividas por este colectivo de menores.
