Objetivo: Realizar la traducción, adaptación transcultural y evaluación de las propiedades psicométricas del cuestionario Patient-Rated Wrist Evaluation (PRWE) para ser utilizado en la población argentina con diagnóstico de fractura de radio distal (FRD). Materiales y método: El proceso de traducción y adaptación transcultural se basó en las guías descritas por Beaton et al. A continuación se realizó la evaluación de las siguientes propiedades psicométricas: efecto techo-suelo, consistencia interna, validez de constructo y sensibilidad al cambio. Para analizar la validez de constructo se plantearon seis hipótesis correlacionando el PRWE y sus dominios dolor y función con la escala de valoración numérica de dolor (NPRS) y el cuestionario Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand. Resultados: La versión argentina final se administró en una muestra de 30 sujetos con FRD y demostró ser comprendida y estar adaptada culturalmente. En la fase de evaluación de las propiedades psicométricas la PRWE no presentó efecto techo-suelo (4,5%) y demostró aceptable consistencia interna (alfa de Cronbach: 0,95). En el análisis de la validez de constructo se comprobaron el 50% de las hipótesis planteadas. Se observaron valores >0,8 en la magnitud del efecto y en la respuesta media estandarizada, indicando ser sensible al cambio. Conclusión: Se realizó con éxito el proceso de traducción, adaptación transcultural y evaluación de propiedades psicométricas del PRWE para su uso en la población argentina con diagnóstico de FRD.
