A evasão de alunas nos primeiros semestres dos cursos de Computação vem sendo cada vez mais frequente. Desse modo, busca-se tornar mais presentes ações que engajem, apoiem e acolham as alunas nos semestres iniciais. Partindo disso, a iniciativa de apadrinhamento acadêmico é uma ação que tem como objetivo identificar e analisar as principais dificuldades e motivações das alunas ingressantes para assim, desenvolver atividades que possam mudar essa realidade e fornecer o apoio necessário. Este artigo apresenta uma pesquisa que teve como objetivo coletar o feedback de nove alunas dos cursos de Ciência da Computação e Engenharia de Software participantes de uma iniciativa de apadrinhamento acadêmico. Uma análise qualitativa, por meio da metodologia Grounded Theory, foi realizada para explorar o impacto da iniciativa e sugestões de melhorias.
O projeto Meninas Digitais do Vale visa fortalecer a participação feminina nos cursos de Computação da Universidade Federal do Ceará - Campus Russas. Devido à pandemia, ocasionada pelo novo coronavírus COVID-19, foi necessário o isolamento social e a adaptação de atividades acadêmicas para o modo remoto. Diante disso, o projeto desenvolveu suas ações de forma remota com o objetivo de continuar suas atividades de extensão no período de distanciamento social, tendo como principal aliada às redes sociais. O projeto promoveu cursos de longa e curta duração, produção de conteúdos temáticos da área e eventos direcionados à comunidade acadêmica e ao público em geral. Para avaliar a experiência das participantes nas ações, foram adotados questionários. Uma análise quantitativa e qualitativa foi conduzida sobre os resultados da avaliação dos cursos e ações promovidas pelo projeto.
Pessoas que atuam na área de Computação precisam adquirir diversas habilidades profissionais para se destacar no mercado de trabalho. Neste contexto, enfatizamos as soft skills, que são habilidades interpessoais que estão relacionadas à atuação do profissional em diferentes situações. Este artigo descreve a investigação do desenvolvimento de soft skills durante a participação no projeto Meninas Digitais do Vale. Foi realizada uma retrospectiva com o time sobre suas experiências durante a participação no projeto. Os relatos das participantes foram analisados qualitativamente, por meio da metodologia de análise temática. Os resultados mostraram que a participação no projeto apoia o desenvolvimento de soft skills, como liderança, criatividade, trabalho em equipe, diversidade e comunicação.
O uso combinado de metodologias ativas e gamificação tem sido explorado no contexto educacional, por se mostrarem eficazes para a interação e motivação dos estudantes. Torna-se relevante compartilhar experiências com essas metodologias em diversos contextos, identificando seus benefícios e desafios. Este artigo descreve a adoção de Sala de Aula Invertida (SAI) combinada com elementos de gamificação no ensino de Qualidade de Processos de Software com foco no MPS.BR. A experiência envolveu 40 estudantes de graduação em Engenharia de Software e Ciência da Computação da Universidade Federal do Ceará Campus de Russas. O feedback dos estudantes indicou que roteiros de estudo gamificados, o sistema de troca de pontos e quizzes proporcionaram boas experiências. Como pontos negativos, os estudantes indicaram dificuldades no uso da plataforma adotada.
