ResumoA papilomatose canina é caracterizada por neoformações benignas provocadas pela infecção de células epiteliais por papilomavírus espécie-específico. Seis síndromes clínicas relacionadas à papilomatose são descritas em cães, sendo estas a papilomatose oral canina, a papilomatose genital, os papilomas múltiplos de coxim plantar, os papilomas caracterizados por placas pigmentadas e os papilomas cutâneos que incluem os papilomas cutâneos invertidos. A transmissão da doença ocorre por contato direto ou indireto com secreções ou sangue provenientes dos papilomas presentes nos animais contaminados. O diagnóstico baseia-se nos achados clínicos e exames complementares. A regressão espontânea é observada na maioria dos casos, o que dificulta a avaliação da eficácia do protocolo terapêutico. Em geral, o prognóstico é bom.
Introdução: O transtorno de déficit de atenção/hiperatividade (TDAH) é caracterizado como uma síndrome psiquiátrica de alta prevalência na pediatria, tendo consigo critérios clínicos operacionais bem estabelecidos para o seu diagnóstico. Objetivo: revisão dos elementos essenciais referentes ao diagnóstico precoce e às abordagens sociais do TDAH na infância. Discussão: O TDAH tem como etiologia diversos fatores: marcadores fenotípicos e genéticos; mostrando uma complexa alteração embriológica nos substratos neurais que regulam as funções executivas, tendo principalmente uma dificuldade em inibir comportamentos e de controlar as interferências. As consequências da falha neste processo inibitório seriam responsáveis pelas sintomatologias de baixa tolerância à espera, alta necessidade de recompensa imediata, falta de um comportamento governado por regras, falha na previsão das consequências e emissão de respostas rápidas, porém imprecisas. Conclusão: Percebe-se que o TDAH é uma condição de grande prevalência na população pediátrica e que causa diversos impactos na vida cotidiana das crianças. Sendo assim, é necessário que haja um diagnóstico precoce deste transtorno, a fim de que os pacientes recebam intervenções em tempo oportuno, para que as consequências negativas da doença sejam atenuadas.
