Este trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar os resultados de um estudo de redimensionamento do nível de estoque de segurança de dez produtos importados de uma empresa de equipamentos de limpeza. Esse estudo pretendeu aumentar o nível de serviço de entrega para o cliente final. Para tanto, realizou-se pesquisas bibliográficas em logística, documentais em relatórios da empresa, aplicação do estudo de caso. Com a utilização da classificação ABC foram identificados os dez principais itens importados para a empresa e com maior variabilidade da demanda. Em seguida foi possível identificada a tendência de comportamento da demanda dos produtos e o fez-se o redimensionamento dos valores de estoques de segurança. Por fim, fizemos análise do impacto do cenário com o redimensionamento. Os resultados da pesquisa evidenciaram uma possível redução de estoques de segurança em 20% dos produtos estudados, redução nos custos de armazenagem e de manutenção de requisições.
