RESUMO O Tifo Aviário, disseminado mundialmente, é uma das principais doenças que assolam a avicultura industrial, provocando sérios prejuízos econômicos ao setor avícola, relevante área da economia brasileira e responsável pela geração de muitos empregos. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo verificar a eficácia da técnica de vazio sanitário, aplicada por um período de 790 dias a uma granja de corte comercial com histórico de isolamento positivo de Salmonella Gallinarum, através da detecção bacteriana em um lote alojado posteriormente à aplicação da técnica. Trata-se de um estudo experimental que realizou o cultivo e o plaqueamento de amostras de fezes frescas de um lote de aves alojado posteriormente ao vazio sanitário da granja, a fim de se isolar o sorotipo Gallinarum. Ainda, a partir de um estudo de campo, realizou-se um inquérito epidemiológico na granja, com a finalidade de verificar as condições do vazio sanitário aplicado e subsidiar os ensaios laboratoriais. Os achados da bacteriologia sugeriram que a técnica de vazio sanitário foi eficaz, pois Salmonella spp. não foi isolada nas amostras clínicas. Foi possível, ainda, inferir que as medidas higiênico-sanitárias adotadas na granja durante o vazio sanitário foram adequadas.
RESUMO O presente estudo buscou analisar as amostras de fezes frescas e de suabes cloacais de um plantel de frangos comerciais a fim de isolar e identificar bioquimicamente a Salmonella spp. O estudo foi realizado em uma granja comercial de frangos de corte na cidade de Monte Carmelo-MG. Foram colhidas 50 amostras de fezes frescas e 50 amostras de suabes cloacais, que foram armazenadas, acondicionadas e transportadas para o Laboratório de Microbiologia do ILES/ULBRA de Itumbiara-GO. As amostras foram submetidas a cultivos bacterianos de enriquecimento seletivo e não seletivo e isolamento em placas. Das 50 amostras de fezes frescas e de suabes cloacais analisadas, nenhuma originou colônias com características sugestivas de Salmonella spp., demonstrando a negatividade para esta bactéria nas amostras estudadas. A ausência dessa bactéria pode estar associada ao alto controle sanitário do plantel amostrado.
RESUMO O presente trabalho buscou investigar a presença de Salmonella spp. em aves da subespécie Gallus gallus domesticus confinadas em um estabelecimento avícola, situado no município de Uberlândia-MG e analisar comparativamente as técnicas de Soroaglutinação Rápida (SAR) e isolamento por plaqueamento bacteriano. As aves amostradas tinham vinte e cinco dias de idade e compunham um lote de trinta e sete mil animais. Foram analisadas 50 amostras de suabes de cloacais e 50 amostras séricas. Todas as amostras foram coletadas de forma pareadas, ou seja, foram coletadas da mesma ave e identificadas, imediatamente, por números de 1 a 50. Após as coletas, as amostras foram encaminhadas ao Laboratório de Microbiologia do ILES-ULBRA. Os resultados do Plaquemento bacteriano mostraram que das 50 amostras de suabes cloacais analisadas, 50 amostras apesentaram crescimento bacteriano compatível com colônias de Salmonella spp., ou seja, ocorreu crescimento de colônias isoladas com coloração rósea no Ágar Verde Brilhante e de colônias isoladas incolores no Ágar MacConkey. Em relação ao teste de SAR, 36 amostras foram positivas (72%) e 14 amostras foram negativas (28%). As análises mostraram baixa sensibilidade para o teste de SAR. O estudo mostrou que o teste de SAR não deve ser utilizado como única prova de triagem para pesquisar aves portadoras de Salmonella spp., devendo ser complementado, de preferência, com o isolamento bacteriano, sendo esta a recomendação oficial do PNSA.
