Diversos materiais de construção têm suas propriedades modificadas quando em presença de fogo. O concreto Portland é um desses materiais, que, quando submetido à altas temperaturas sofre alterações em sua microestrutura que podem interferir em seu comportamento mecânico, como por exemplo, a redução da resistência à compressão. O presente trabalho tem por objetivo avaliar as modificações das propriedades mecânicas e os danos causados em uma estrutura de concreto pós incêndio. Para isso foram utilizadas técnicas da engenharia diagnóstica, tais como vistoria, anamnese e realização de ensaios, destrutivos e não destrutivos, para verificação da qualidade do concreto, identificando a necessidade, ou não, de intervenção para reabilitação da estrutura. Os resultados da pesquisa evidenciaram a redução da vida útil e da durabilidade do concreto analisado, uma vez que a estrutura já apresentava características que favoreciam os mecanismos de deterioração. Portanto, foi constatada a necessidade de tratamento e reforço em todos os elementos estruturais da subestação.Palavras-chave: incêndio; concreto armado; durabilidade; engenharia diagnóstica.
