Objetivou-se analisar o conhecimento dos profissionais da Atenção Primária em Saúde acerca da responsabilidade da produção de resíduos de serviços de saúde até a disponibilização para o meio ambiente. Trata-se de uma estudo exploratório-descritivo e transversal, que utilizou a abordagem qualitativa, realizada em 36 Unidades Básicas de Saúde presentes nos nove Distritos Sanitários do município de Campina Grande, Paraíba. A amostra do estudo foi composta por 7 médicos, 24 enfermeiros, 04 dentistas, 16 auxiliares de enfermagem, 04 auxiliares de saúde bucal, totalizando 55 profissionais entrevistados. Os dados foram coletados de agosto de 2011 a janeiro de 2012 e analisados à luz dos postulados de Bardin (2016). Os resultados revelaram que os profissionais fazem claramente uma associação entre o gerenciamento inadequado dos resíduos com a contaminação ambiental e o surgimento de doenças. Outra questão levantada foi a falta de esclarecimento sobre gerenciamento de resíduos; condições inadequadas de trabalho; falta de apoio aos profissionais vítimas de acidentes com os resíduos. Os entrevistados ainda apontaram a coleta seletiva como uma alternativa para melhorar o gerenciamento dos resíduos. Com isso, pode-se concluir que o estudo pode ser de grande valia para gestores que desejem realizar mudanças na coleta de resíduos de serviços de saúde.
Objetivo: provocar uma reflexão acerca do saber dos profissionais de saúde em relação aos métodos de degermação. Metodologia: trata-se de uma Revisão Integrativa da Literatura, com abordagem qualitativa. A coleta de dados ocorreu entre o período de fevereiro a março de 2021, a partir de artigos contidos nos bancos de dados indexados na Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde e combinação dos Descritores em Ciências da Saúde: “Antissepsia”; “Desinfecção das Mãos” e “Higiene das Mãos”, nos idiomas português, inglês e espanhol. O instrumento para organização do conteúdo foi um quadro contendo os autores, base de dados, revista de publicação, tipo de estudo e ano da publicação. Resultados: Foram selecionados 10 artigos, dentre as bases de dados: Base de Dados de Enfermagem, Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde e Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online. Conclusão: constatou-se através dos artigos que para evitar a proliferação de microrganismos devem ser adotadas a higienização adequada das mãos e adesão regular às boas práticas que são preconizadas. Também, foi possível identificar a dispensabilidade das escovas de degermação cirúrgica mediante estudos microbiológicos que demonstraram não haver mudança significativa com o uso desse artefato e sem ele. Ademais, é importante destacar como limitação do estudo a precariedade de artigos na área que abrangem a temática abordada, destacando a necessidade de implementação de novos estudos que atentem para a questão em foco.
Despertar a responsabilidade do aprendizado no discente tem se tornado um dos grandes desafios dos educadores da atualidade, visto que o avanço de recursos tecnológicos tem proporcionado uma dinamização das maneiras de como repassar conteúdos na sala de aula. Este estudo trata-se de um relato de experiência realizado na Universidade Federal de Campina Grande, com estudantes do 5º semestre do curso de enfermagem na disciplina de Saúde da Criança e do Adolescente. O tema tem como objetivo sensibilizar discentes e docentes, com enfoque na metodologia ativa e participativa, colaborando, assim, na busca de uma construção mais significativa e coletiva do conhecimento, visando alcançar uma educação mais inclusiva, com resultados duradouros e efetivos. A presente experiência consiste no Intervalo com Conhecimento e Sabores, em que estudantes voluntários construíam discussões acerca de assuntos direto ou indiretamente relacionados a disciplina ministrada, juntamente com lanches para serem consumidos no período de construção da dinâmica. Ao fim da experiência, foram relatados uma maior dinamicidade entre a turma e melhora da relação educando-educador, sendo possível afirmar que a prática metodológica ativa e participativa é capaz de proporcionar emoções positivas, melhorando o foco e capacidade de atingir um nível mais elevado de desempenho, além de servir como poderoso antídoto contra a ansiedade e o estresse.
