Targeting to achieve more feasible catalysts for VOCs combustion, 2% Ru/ZSM-5 catalysts were fabricated by supporting RuO2, a relatively cheaper noble metal, onto HZSM-5 supports with varied Si/Al ratios for...
4 + . The distribution states of Ru affect significantly the active surface oxygen amount and the toluene adsorption capacity, which are the two major reasons influencing the reactivity. On Ru/ Pr 2 Sn 2 O 7 , a greater quantity of active oxygen sites can be formed than on RuÀ Pr 2 Sn 2 O 7 . Furthermore, the presence of surface Ru 0 facilitates also toluene adsorption. As a consequence, the intrinsic activity of the two Ru/Pr 2 Sn 2 O 7 catalysts are much higher than the two RuÀ Pr 2 Sn 2 O 7 catalysts . It is concluded that supporting Ru on Pr 2 Sn 2 O 7 surface is a better way than doping Ru into its lattice to fabricate more active and applicable catalysts.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
