AbstractThe characters of complicated fault block sandstone reservoirs are:1) The heterogeneity and anisotropy of formation are very severe, and there are great changes of lithology and physical properties just within offset wells; 2)there may be a certain degree of changes in fracture azimuth within the scope of adjacent wells; 3)well network of irregular area injection is mainly used and 4)Various treatment measures are frequent so that it is very difficult to analyze the production data.In order to exploit the reservoirs in scientific, reasonable and high efficient way, the common production data are used as well as the data of geology, testing, well logging, rock core, laboratory data, and analysis of seepage flowing theory may also be needed to conduct the following studies: 1)Determination of the boundary of calculating element(closed boundary); 2)re-evaluation and confirmation of equilibrium data within calculating element; 3)Analyses of the reasons of minor production, production reduction and injection reduction of wells; 4)Estimation of azimuth of hydraulic fracture; 5)Determination of object function of optimum fracturing design; 6)Estimation of anisotropy; 7)Distributing ratio of production and injection and 8)Quantitative evaluation of formation interconnection. It has very significant meaning to take hold of the present state of the reservoirs truly, to confirm and adjust parameters of reservoir simulation and to predict reservoir performance scientifically, etc.The technology has been verified in 2 reservoirs located in north China, and has been developed and perfected in later time. Now, it is a maturated system which may be applied in more oil fields and a great deal of benefits may be expected.
