A heteronormatividade compulsória é um marcador social que produz exclusões e estigmatizações de sujeitos que fogem à norma heterossexual. Nesse cenário, a interpretação de certos dogmas da religião protestante emerge como discurso capaz de produzir sofrimento psíquico nesses sujeitos. Assim justifica-se debruçarmos sobre a presente tônica. Este trabalho pretende abordar discursos religiosos de comunidades protestantes em relação ao comportamento homossexual a partir da perspectiva de análise de conteúdo de Bardin. Para tanto recorremos a dois relatos jornalísticos veiculados na mídia brasileira, um de 2016 e outro de 2020. Nossos resultados preveem que o discurso religioso protestante é amiúde utilizado para corroborar a acusação, a condenação e o martírio da comunidade LGBTQIA+.
