El presente estudio, tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación de las características demográficas y la procrastinación de lo/as estudiantes de una universidad pública peruana 2022. Investigación de tipo básica, cuantitativa, de diseño no experimental, transversal, descriptiva-correlacional. Su población de 230 estudiantes, con muestreo aleatorio simple, resultando 180 universitario/as. Se utilizó como instrumentos: Cuestionario para recoger datos de edad, sexo y ciclo y Escala de Procrastinación académica EPA actualizada. Los resultados muestran un coeficiente de = 6.973, p < .05 entre sexo y procrastinación, coeficiente de = 5.209, p > .05 entre edad y procrastinación y el coeficiente = 3.081, p > .05 entre ciclo y procrastinación; concluyéndose que solo existe relación entre el sexo y la procrastinación.
El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar la relación de los factores sociodemográficos asociados al estrés en estudiantes de psicología de una universidad peruana. Se aplicó el Inventario de Estrés Académico SISCO en una muestra representativa de 214 estudiantes de una universidad público en el año 2022. Se uso una ficha de datos sociodemográficos, también el estadístico Chi-cuadrado. Para analizar la correlación entre el estrés y la edad, sexo y ciclo académico se utilizó la prueba Chi-cuadrado.
Los resultados demostraron que los estudiantes presentaron estrés moderado de 88.8%, el sexo femenino presentó estrés fuerte de 64%, las edades de 19 a 22 años presentaron un 52.3% de estrés fuerte, el primer ciclo de estudios presentó un nivel fuerte de estrés de 39.3%. Las variables que se asociaron significativamente fueron el sexo (p=.017) y la edad (p=.000). Se concluye que el estrés académico es un problema relevante en la población de estudio, por lo tanto, se debe implementar estrategias para evitar la desaprobación y/o deserción durante su etapa universitaria.
