La espiritualidad ha tomado especial atención durante los últimos años, en aquellas disciplinas cuyas áreas de investigación y asistencia están orientadas al cuidado y bienestar del ser humano, esto debido al reconocimiento de la espiritualidad como una parte esencial de la naturaleza humana y la necesidad de atenderla con la importancia que se da al manejo de las otras dimensiones como la física, la emocional, y la social. El objetivo de la investigación es describir las intervenciones que realiza el personal de salud para favorecer el bienestar espiritual de los pacientes crónicos en final de vida. Metodología: Se realiza un estudio secundario integrativo siguiendo la metodología PRISMA, y las consideraciones dadas por Whittemore y Knafl frente a las fases en las revisiones integrativas de la literatura. La búsqueda bibliográfica contemplo los años 2010 a 2020 en bases de datos científicas. Resultado: Se encontraron estudios cuantitativos descriptivos de corte transversal y revisiones sistemáticas, identificando pocos ensayos controlados aleatorizados. Las intervenciones más frecuentes son las relacionadas con la terapia de la dignidad y revisión de la vida, enfocadas a población oncológica, en contexto ambulatorio y hospitalario; la mayoría de estos refieren un efecto positivo a corto plazo y son realizadas por el equipo interdisciplinario. Conclusión: Se confirman los beneficios de las intervenciones espirituales, a nivel físico, psicológico y social, mejorando la calidad de vida de los pacientes. Es necesario desarrollar investigaciones de tipo experimental que evidencie la intensidad del efecto, así como la duración en el tiempo e incluyan la dimensión transpersonal.
