In this paper, we present the results of three research projects about the levels of reading and writing of Law and Psychology students at Institución Universitaria de Envigado. The three research projects were done from the second semester of 2010 to the first semester of 2013. Such researches were qualitative, descriptivecomparative approach. Besides, in each of these an intervention was carried out to the participants based on Text Linguistics, Critical Discourse Analysis and Pragma-Dialectic Argumentation. Finally, the results show that by students whose levels of written culture are low can be better by mean of this kind of interventions.
ResumenEl presente artículo se divide en tres partes. En la primera se desarrollan los conceptos relacionados con el análisis crítico del discurso y la arqueología del saber, haciendo énfasis en las principales características y elementos conceptuales propuestos por diferentes autores adscritos a dichos enfoques. En la segunda, se realiza un análisis cualitativo de las diferencias y similitudes encontradas entre ambos enfoques. Finally, the third part offers conclusion on both approaches to discourse analysis as applied to a study of society.
