Der eine von uns hat, unter Mitwirkung einer Reihe von Mitarbeitern gezeigt, daB das zweiwertige Platin fahig ist, komplexe Verbindungen nicht nur mit Monosulfiden von der Formel R,S zu bilden, wobei gewohnlich zwei isomere Modifikationen entstehen, sondern auch mit Disulfiden von der allgemeinen Formel R -S-(CHJ,,-S-R , wobei zwei Formen erscheinen: eine monomerevon gelber Farbe, loslich und nur in einer isomeren Modifikation, von der Zusammensetaung [Pt S" . Cl,], und eine dimerevon rosa oder roter Farbe, unloslich, von der allgemeinen Struktur [Pt 2 S"]PtCl,, welche, der Konstitution nach, dem sogenannten y -Salae von ENNEBUSKE [Pt -4(CH,),S]PtC14 oder dem grunen MAGNusschen Salze [Pt -4NHJPtC1, analog ist. Die hierbei entstehenden ringartigen Verbindungen sind von verschiedener Stabilitat, die im Zusammenhange mit der Zahl der Ringglieder steht, welche letztere wieder von der Zahl der Methylengruppen im Disulfid (gewohnlich ist bei uns n = 1 bis 3) abhangig ist. Wir setzten unsere Untersuchungen uber diesen Gegenstand in verschiedenen R ichtungen fort und wandten uns zu Disulfiden mit komplizierterem Kohlenstoffskelett, dann zu Polysulfiden, welche in ihrem Molekul mehr als 2 Atome Schwefel enthalten, und endlich zu ungesattigten Disulfiden. Es war fur uns von Interesse, das Auftauchen beider oben erwahnten I) Diese Untersuchung wurde im Winter 1912-1913 amgefiihrt und erscheint als unvollendet. Die in dieser Abhandlung beriihrten Fragen fanden keine weitere Entwicklung infolge des europaischen Krieges und der russischen Revolution. Die Abhandlung iet yon mir auf Grund des Tagebuches von S.
