Die Aminoanthrapyridone (I) lassen sich durch Erhitzen mit den Carbonsäureanhydriden (II) oder auch bei der Umsetzung mit den entsprechenden Carbonsäurechloriden oder mit den Carbonsäuren und Phosphoroxychlorid zu Oxazoloanthrapyridinen (III) cyclisieren.
Beim Erhitzen der Aminoverbindung (I) mit den Carbonsäureanhydriden (II), den entsprechenden Säurechloriden oder den Carbonsäuren in Gegenwart von Phosphortri‐ oder Phosphorpentachlorid entstehen nicht die erwarteten Acylaminoderivate (IV), sondern die Oxazoloanthrapyridine (III) in Ausbeuten von 83 ‐ 98%.
