We studied the morphological features of the jejunum and ileum in middle and heavy goose breeds. The geese under six month of age of Gorkovskaya and Legart breeds were used in our research. Geese of a heavy breed had a large intestinal mass, length of the jejunum and ileum, thickness of the mucous membrane of the ileum, and a smaller thickness of the muscular tunic of the jejunum. Legart geese had greater villi density and crypt depth in the jejunum and greater height and density of the villi, the width of the crypts, and the ratio of the height of the villi to the depth of the crypts in the ileum. In all the guts of heavier geese, the density of crypts was lower. The geese of the heavy breed had larger number and area of the ganglia of the mental plexus and smaller number and area in the submucosa in the jejunum, while they had larger area of the ganglia of the submucosal plexus in the ileum. The number of argyrophilic and argentaffin apudocytes in the jejunum of geese of different breeds did not differ, when the Legart breed geese had lesser quantity of apudocytes in the ileum.
The aim of work was to determine the features of the microscopic structure of the lamina muscularis mucosae of the goose gut during the postnatal ontogenesis. According to the review of the literature, during the characterisation of the structure of the intestinal mucosa, researchers first pay attention to the condition of the villi, crypts, epithelial layer and their morphometric parameters, leaving the lamina muscularis mucosae aside. The intestinal lamina muscularis mucosae is an under-researched structure of the intestinal wall, the information on which is fragmentary and contradictory. The middle parts of the duodenum, jejunum, ileum, cecum and rectum of large grey geese of 13 age groups were investigated. The classic histological methods of staining by hematoxylin and eosin, aniline blue – orange (by Mallory), as well as azure II – eosin were used. It was established that the lamina muscularis mucosae of the goose’s small intestine is formed by two layers of unstriated muscle tissue: internal and external. In contradistinction to mammals, the thicker inner layer of the LMM has not a circular, but a longitudinal direction of cell location while by contrast the thinner outer layer is located in a circular direction. According to results of our research, the thickness of the lamina muscularis mucosae of the small intestine of the geese rapidly increased with age. The thickness of the duodenum corresponded to the value of adult geese at 60 days of age; jejunum, ileum, and rectum – at 21 days, cecum – at 7 days age. The lamina muscularis mucosae was thinnest in the duodenum, and it was thickest in the ileum. The lamina muscularis mucosa of the large intestine of geese is represented by only one longitudinal layer. By contrast, the thinner outer layer is located in a circular direction. Detailed information of the microscopic structure of the lamina muscularis mucosae of the intestine of geese can be useful for specialists, both morphologists and physiologists, for analyzing the histological preparations of the intestine of birds by the action of biotic and abiotic factors, as well as a basis of comparison with such structure in other species of animals. The description of the construction of this important microscopic structure of the intestine can serve a morphological basis for elucidating its function.
Probiotic «Evitaliya» is freeze–dried, specific strains of lactic acid microorganisms (Lactococcus lactis, Streptococcus thermophilus, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus helveticus, Propionibacterium fredenreichii ssp shernanii), they contain vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12, A, E, C iron minerals, calcium, magnesium. The purpose of the study was to clarify the effect of the probiotic ferment «Evitaliya» on nonspecific resistance of kids zaanovskoy breed microclimate conditions according VNTP (for sheep and goat breeding enterprises): the room temperature 12–14 °C, relative humidity of 55 – 70%, the carbon dioxide content – 1.5 – 1.8 l/m3 and ammonia – 10 – 15mg/m3 air bacterial contamination 15 – 20 tys. KOE/m3. Implementation of this goal was decided to use hygienic (temperature, relative humidity, air velocity); hematological (red blood cells, white blood cells, hemoglobin), biochemical (total protein, albumin, globulin); immune (humoral factors – lysozyme and bactericidal activity of blood serum, cell – the neutrophil phagocytic activity), statisticsGetting results and their novelty: for the first time tested the new probiotic yeast «Evitaliya», with its goats orally at a dose of – 200 ml/head in the morning and evening, 100 ml.It was found that the use of «Evitaliya» promotes activation of redox processes in the body kids, stimulation of erythropoiesis: increase in hemoglobin concentration of 0.56% (P ≤ 0.05), the number of red blood cells to – 10.2% (P ≤ 0.05).Use of the drug is moderately activates metabolic processes in the body of kids: increases total protein content by 7.14% (P ≤ 0.05), globulin – by 1.76% (P ≤ 0.05). Use of the drug «Evitaliya» at the indicated doses helps stimulate natural resistance olrganіzmu kids: humoral protection indicators (BASK) rose by 1.52% (LASK) by 1.81%, the cell indices (FA) compared to the control were higher – 4.97%.
