It is represented a possible way to standardize and to automate the quantitative description and the analysis of the formed by the scanning electron microscope polymer based films surfaces’ images. Also there are the calculating algorithms for the topographic model forming and the degrees of planar and contour digital heterogeneities calculating and the analysis process model with the computer application interface and the corresponded results of the sulfonated and fluorinated low-density polyethylene films SEM-images’ characterization. Due to the universality of the proposed techniques for quantitative image description and simulating they can be used in quality control systems under the design and manufacture of the surface-modified polymer films.
The study is concentrated on the topic of 3D-printed polymer gears quality improving issues in terms of both mechanical strength and geometric precisionat the production by FDM process. The conception of gears radial 3D-printing based on functional dimensional communications modelling between the basic and gear elements by string-mesh structure forming of even- and uneven numbered layers; printing gear layers are represented as stretched string system, pairwise and symmetrical placed related to the reference hole axis. Tangential dimensional communication of bidirectional tangent lines to generating circle was applied to the evolvement gears profiles forming. Formation of the gears tooth root on the basic circle accompanied with string-mesh layer structure forming will provide quality gears improvement.
The results of CFD research using the VOF method with Open Foam open source are presented. In the process of study, we built a digital model allowing us to analyze and predict the process of interaction of the dampening solution with substrate (paper) surface in the measuring cell of the PDA ultrasonic device. Discretization of the area for calculation was created using the blockMesh utility. A block-structural hexahedral computational grid has been constructed. The computational grid area is presented in such a way that the number of cells increases in the direction of the paper sample. The visualization of calculations in the ParaView package coincides with the time intervals obtained on the PDA ultrasonic measuring device. The practical significance of the study lies in the realization of the possibility to evaluate the dampening solution parameters, to control the modes of its supply, taking into account the use of modern papers and printing systems.
The question of improving the standard deviation of the phase coordinate error, stability, and noise immunity of the rangefinder for information and measurement system of the automated air traffic control of aircraft is considered. Rangefinder state and observation models which consider kinematic and dynamic characteristics of air crafts have been proposed. A rangefinder algorithm has been developed and investigated through simulation modelling on a computer with research results obtained.
