Absfrnct -We have developed a 24GHz side-looking vehicle detection radar. A novel signal processing algorithm is developed fur speed measurement and size classification of vehicles in multiple lanes. The system has a fixed antenna and FMCW processing module. This paper presents the background theory of operation and shows some measured data using the algorithm.
[Abstract]This paper presented the design of wireless power transfer (WPT) system using electromagnetic induction techniques and analysed WPT efficiency. Also, we presented the optimum coil condition by measuring the efficiency variation according to some receiving coil parameter changes. Voltage change is measured by receiving coil position for the designed transmitting and receiving circuit. Voltage change according to inductance variation at the same position and charging time are compared at the same environment by using a developed application program to realize an optimum WPT system. Developed wireless power transfer system using electromagnetic induction techniques uses 125 kHz. It takes 16 minutes by using wired charger, and 23 minutes by using wireless charger for charging from 50% to 60% charging status.
This paper describes the design optimization of parasitic elements used for TACAN broadband antenna. We deployed parasitic elements arranged in a circular array to electronically rotate the antenna instead of employing a mechanically rotated antenna to generate the composite radiation pattern of 15 Hz and 135 Hz including bearing information and to meet the harmonic contents specification of MIL-STD-291C. We performed the simulation for optimization of the parasitic elements and fabricated the antenna composed of 16 parasitic elements of 15 Hz and 63 parasitic elements of 135 Hz. With harmonics magnitude reduction by increasing the number of steps using vector composition of the reflectors, the measured result meets the specification of MIL-STD-291C.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
