sphincter-preserving procedure. Prior to surgery, 88% of patients underwent radiation. All patients who did not receive radiation were discussed in a multidisciplinary conference and deemed ineligible because of age/comorbidities (n¼14), prior history of radiation (n¼4), clinical trial (n¼2), or patient refusal (n¼2). Circumferential radial margin positivity was 16%. Cancer recurrence was 9.7% at 2 years. Survival at 2 years and 4 years was 89% and 82%, respectively. CONCLUSIONS: A well-integrated multidisciplinary team can achieve high rates of guideline-concordance for management of rectal cancer patients, producing favorable outcomes in terms of cancer recurrence and survival.
