O eletrodo é um dispositivo produzido em diferentes formas e materiais que constituem os sensores e biossensores, que devem atuar com mínima variação para avaliar reações e interações químicas especificas, produzidos por diferentes técnicas, dentre elas a eletrodeposição aplicada na nano, bio e microtecnologia. Assim, o estudo teve como objetivo avaliar o efeito do tratamento térmico após a eletrodeposição do antimônio em fitas de aço inox. As amostras foram preparadas utilizando o processo de eletrodeposição há 0,1, 0,3 e 0,5 amperes, em solução aquosa de tartarato de antimônio (III) e potássio hidratado, posteriormente, separou-se em dois grupos, o primeiro foi submetido ao aquecimento a uma taxa de 10 °C/min até 550 °C por um período de 1h e o segundo grupo não foi submetido ao processo de aquecimento. As amostras foram caracterizadas por Microscopia Óptica (MO), Microscopia Eletrônica de Varredura (MEV) e Difração de raios X (DRX). As microscopias MO e MEV indicaram modificações da superfície e as DRX alterações de fases cristalina e tamanho de cristalitos, conforme as condições de eletrodeposição e pelo efeito do tratamento térmico aplicado.
A superfície dos materiais é a região mais externa, sendo constituída por diferentes defeitos como forma, ondulação e rugosidade e que possui maior susceptibilidade as interações interfaciais. Os materiais ou nanomateriais, sejam eles metálicos, cerâmicos, poliméricos, compósitos ou biomateriais, empregados nas mais diversas aplicações estão sujeitos a diferentes condições externas que podem promover diferentes reações, tais como: degradação, interação, oxidação, rejeição biológica e outras. A fim de melhorar as propriedades e/ou características superficiais dos materiais, são aplicadas diferentes técnicas de tratamentos da superfície. Desta forma o objetivo desta pesquisa compreende avaliação do efeito do tratamento físico e químico na modificação superficial de aço inoxidável e aplicação da metodologia de superfície resposta (MSR). Após a tratamento, foram caracterizado microscopia ótica (MO), avaliação da rugosidade com auxílio do software gwyddion e aplicado a MSR. Os resultados da análise de MO exibem as morfologias das amostras padrão e com os diferentes tratamentos superficiais, e como os tratamentos afetam a superfície do aço inoxidável. Com auxílio do software gwyddion foi possível avaliar as rugosidades lineares médias (Ra) e superficial média (Sa) das amostras, corroborando com as micrografias e por meio da MSR observou-se os efeitos e interações dos tratamentos e como ocorre esse comportamento, permitindo o entendimento dos efeitos dos tratamentos físico e químico avaliado. Por fim, a partir desse estudo constatou-se que as amostras de aço inoxidável tratada por meio físico com lixa de maior granulometria associada ao ataque químico com solução de ácido clorídrico de concentração menor promove a uma maior rugosidade superficial.
