He has been working on the issues in relation to the racial minorities in Hong Kong and China. Some of the research output has already been published, including a book entitled Xianggang: duoyidianyanse (Colors of Hong Kong: Racial Minorities in the Local Community). Currently he is working on a project of ethnic minority cinema in China.
